Emergency Power Operation - Automatic Lowering (10-D0A)

Automatic Lowering using a Building-supplied Standby Power Source – (Hydraulic Applications: 10-DOA) Upon loss of the normal power supply, building-supplied standby power is available on the same wires as the normal power supply. Once the loss of normal power is detected and standby power is available, the elevator is lowered to a pre-designated landing and the doors are opened. After passengers have exited the elevator, the doors are closed and the car is shut down. When normal power is restored, the elevator automatically resumes operation.
