As you know, our company is committed to assessing our environmental footprint and developing sustainable business strategies. A green business model makes good business sense for our company, while making a positive contribution to the ecological and social well being of the planet. This is an important initiative for ThyssenKrupp Elevator, and I want to share our progress as well as our new sustainability statement with all of you.
In December, we engaged a leading consulting firm to help us strategically address our sustainability initiatives. That work continues today. Internally, we are assessing our strengths and areas for potential improvement to develop new tools to maximize our collective contributions to this effort. We are examining our internal practices for ways to streamline our operations and make them more efficient. We will keep you apprised of the outcome of those efforts over the next several months.
