Destination Dispatch
Minimizing time to destination and optimizing handling capacity

With Destination Dispatch, passengers enter their destination floors through a touch screen in the lobby (and other “up-peak” landings) and are prompted to proceed to a specific car. As soon as that car arrives, the passengers embark and the car transports them to their selected destinations.

Knowing each passenger’s destination enables the TAC50 control system to dispatch cars with the utmost efficiency. When used for during peak travel times in lobbies, Destination Dispatch reduces wait times and increases the system’s handling capacity by 15% to 30%.

Instead of using traditional Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) dispatching methods, Destination Dispatch estimates the total time a passenger may spend getting to their destination by calculating Estimated Time to Destination (ETD). Whenever a dispatching decision is made, Destination Dispatch considers the total ETD for all passengers in each car. It then assigns the call to the car whose passengers, as a whole, will be delayed least.

With Destination Dispatch, your vertical transportation system makes the right call every time.
