Our Stakeholders

ThyssenKrupp Elevator makes a concerted effort to consider the interests and needs of all those affected by our operations and products, including the diverse groups of employees, architects, contractors, property managers, suppliers, media, regulators, non-governmental organizations, communities, and the riding public. Engaging our stakeholders allows us to generate new ideas that forward innovation in products and business practices, while aiding in our development as an increasingly responsive and responsible company by building trust and fostering positive communication.

This report demonstrates ThyssenKrupp Elevator’s commitment to transparency with our stakeholders, and serves as an example of how we are responding to stakeholder requests for improved communication with regard to sustainability. In creating this report, we examined ThyssenKrupp Elevator’s impacts on the environment and society and selected those impacts associated with high stakeholder interest. We also sought stakeholder feedback during our initial sustainability gap assessment to help us further define the concept of leadership in sustainability within our industry.

Many of our contractors are increasingly interested in energy and cost savings. In response, we are evaluating many of our products and services and are developing an additional feature within one of our most popular tools – Architect Direct Pro – to help contractors identify these energy savings when designing new elevator systems or modernizing existing systems.
